Connor continues to grow in size and in personality. He has a vocabulary that I can't even keep up with. Each day he comes home from "Ra-Ra's" with new words. He plays golf ("hit da ball! golf!"), kicks the soccer ball ("kick...sock boll!"), goes down the slide, goes up the "big steps" and plays with mulch on the playground. All of these things he then tells us about on the way home or later that evening. He is also very earth-friendly, as one of his favorite activities is to pick up every piece of paper or trash at the playground and throw it away. He also likes to count, but his favorite number is still two:
Ashley: How many eyes does Connor have?
Connor: Two!
Connor: Two!
Ashley: Yes, how old is Connor?
Connor: Two!
Ashley: Yes, you're so smart! How many fingers does Connor have?
Connor: Two!!
We'll keep working on the counting thing...
This past weekend we got to visit my mom and grandmother for Mother's Day. Matt got to take a long run in and around D.C. (where he'll likely be for a whole year, but that's another story!), and my mom and I took Connor to see the horses at Woodlawn. He was in love. My favorite was when one pony sneezed on him and he said, "bless you, horsey!" I guess we need to start counting our pennies to save up for riding lessons...
Prom picture...many years later.
