Marathon Weekend

This weekend was the big Richmond Marathon weekend. After having two days off of school for flooding and heavy winds, we packed up our things and headed to the Keatings' house. Valerie, the ultimate pre-race hostess, cooked a carb-loaded dinner for us while Annie and Connor played. They were not so sure of each other at first, but they were waving at each other and blowing kisses by the end of the day on Saturday.

Valerie, Annie, Connor, and I headed into the city after Matt and Susan had already started running. The babies were excellent spectators, and we were able to spot Matt and Susan at mile 17 and again at the finish. 4 hours and 18 minutes!!

Annie "dusting" the floor - isn't she the cutest?

Yes, that is a look of fear on Connor's face. Annie was nothing but smiles toward him,
but he took a long time warming up.

Connor and Annie at mile 17 - right before they both fell asleep!

26.2 miles and still smiling!

Annie inspects Uncle Matt's medal. Like her mom, she likes sparkles!

Connor sporting Daddy's medal.
