The Ellis Family: Winter's End

Connor has passed the 19 month mark and is still talking up a storm and getting into everything. It seems like he's interested in playing with anything that is not one of the hundreds of toys he has in our house. Cleaning supplies like scrub brushes and sponges are current favorites. Matt also bought Connor a toothbrush, taught him to brush his teeth, and even how to spit in the sink (but "only in the sink" says Daddy every night). He now can't walk by the bathroom without yelling, "teeth!"

We are happy to finally have some warmer weather and sunshine - it's been a rough winter of stuffy noses, ear infections and the flu, so we're ready to get out and enjoy some fresh air. We recently made two fun trips to Richmond - the first was to celebrate Annie's 1st birthday! We all had a great time and Annie was, as always, a gracious hostess.

Our second trip to Richmond was this afternoon to meet Nonna and the Commodore for lunch and a trip to the Children's Museum. Connor has gotten really good with names and can say Nonna quite easily. He's still working on the three-syllable Commodore, but he'll get there - the Commodore is certain! Connor had a blast at the museum and can't wait to go back. After watching him run around for three hours, Nonna and the Commodore went back to Annapolis sufficiently exhausted.

Mmmm...but this yummy cake makes everything better. Being 1 isn't so bad!
