Aren't summers supposed to be relaxing? Ha! There is no time to relax in the Ellis household. Big birthday bashes, new jobs, and lots of visiting with friends and family--it's been a busy summer! It's hard to believe, but Connor celebrated is 1st birthday on July 23. We celebrated with friends and family in our new backyard. It was HOT, but nobody complained, and we were all thankful for the forest of trees in the yard. Connor got to invite a couple if his own friends to the party. His girfriend, Annie, traveled from Richmond to see him. He and his friend Ryan got to hang out in the pool after getting birthday cake everywhere. The next week Ashley applied for a new job and was chosen as Coordinator of Licensed Staff Development for the school division! Ashley is very excited about the new opportunity. Matt is even a little more excited than Ashley is--he's under the impression that he will get to retire at age 35 - ha! Keep dreaming, Mr Ellis :)
